HiPer Technology Board of Directors Seeks to Grow Business to Next Level

 

LAWRENCE, Kan, Aug 21, 2006 – HiPer Technology, Inc has announced its 2007 Board of Directors as the latest step in managing its rapid growth and expansion into new products and markets. 

Jim Stinehelfer will be returning as Chairman, in addition to his role as HiPer CEO.  Company founder Tomas A. Darnell brings his substantial engineering expertise to the Board as Vice President of Research and Development.  Michael Grossman’s strong financial background is significant with previous experience at Sanford C. Bernstein, Speedpay, Cantor Fitzgerald, and serving as President at Derivex prior to joining Sterneck Capital Management in Kansas City. 

Two new members represent the preferred shareholders on the 2007 HiPer Board.  Wally Meyer comes to HiPer with executive management experience in cornerstone American companies including Gillette, RJR Nabisco, and Sprint as well as currently serving as the Director of Entrepreneurship Programs at the University of Kansas.  Former President of Payless Shoesource, Duane Cantrell brings vast experience to the Board in both the international retail and financial sector, and currently serves as Managing Director of Genus Consulting.

“The new Board is comprised of industry leaders with a proven record of expanding and growing international businesses” said Chairman and CEO Jim Stinehelfer.  “We greatly appreciate the contributions of the outgoing Board and are excited by the prospects of the incoming members.”

HiPer Technology’s outgoing members include Rodger Henry, Sherri Schaub, and Bob Skahan.  Under their leadership, HiPer has grown in excess of 30% and seen the introduction of the Micro Sprint, and Mini-Motorcycle wheel lines. 

“These individuals made great contributions of time, effort, and personal commitments to help stabilize our company during some painful growth periods” said Stinehelfer.
